Terence is an osteopath based in Singapore. He holds a double Bachelor of Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy) from RMIT University. He is a member of Osteopathy Australia and registered with AHPRA.
Terence’s passion about health and his interest in the human body started when he was competing in Muay Thai. A debilitating neck injury during training led him to discover the benefits of osteopathic manual therapy and its positive effects on injury, healing and rehabilitation. After spending 9 rewarding years in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer and Muay Thai coach, Terence moved from Singapore to Melbourne to undertake his studies in osteopathy.
Terence values a narrative-based approach which accounts for each patient’s individual stories and experiences. Each treatment is tailored to suit the individual and focuses on the body as a whole rather than the symptoms of pain. Terence is passionate about treating people of all ages and backgrounds. He finds ways to determine the root cause of pain, identify the different factors that contribute to it, and works with patients to create individualised goals for them to work towards. Terence uses osteopathic manual therapy, rehabilitation exercises, lifestyle education, and activity modifications to help patients achieve these goals.
Prior to becoming an osteopath, Terence was a competitive Muay Thai athlete for 8 years. He has experience competing at both an amateur and professional level locally and internationally. Terence had his last professional fight in 2009. These days he enjoys training with kettlebells and is an avid kettlebell sport athlete.
