Alexis Senior Physiotherapist

Alexis has garnered over 20 years of diverse experience as a physiotherapist, after earning her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in Perth, Australia. She then went on to obtain her Master’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, due to her keen interest in biomechanics, sports and rehab engineering.

In Singapore, she has worked in a variety of settings including hospital, private practice, community rehab facilities and home therapy services. She had also previously managed the rehab and wellness programmes at a local day rehabilitation center, expanding her understanding and management of a spectrum of client care involving acute to chronic conditions.

Alexis had also lived in the United States for 10 years, returning to Singapore in 2014. There, she practised as a physical therapist in several hospitals, including the county’s Level I and II trauma centers as well as a stroke and burn center.

She enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and believes that each individual’s journey to recovery and long-term wellness is unique. Her approach involves careful understanding of her clients’ problems and applying key treatment methods ranging from manual therapy, rehabilitative exercises and pain-relieving modalities. Her main passion lies in helping people return to the activities that matter most to them as safely and quickly as possible, while empowering them with skills and knowledge to prevent recurrent injuries.

In her free time, she enjoys jogging, going for walks and watercoloring. She hopes that her enthusiasm in staying mentally and physically well will encourage others in their self-care too.
