Lixia is deeply passionate about helping patients (for both women and men) with pelvic floor dysfunctions, which led her to complete her Master of Clinical Physiotherapy in Continence and Pelvic Health from Curtin University in Australia.
Her journey in pelvic health physiotherapy began during her time at Singapore General Hospital, where she collaborated with patients and multi-disciplinary teams in outpatient pelvic health clinics, maternity, and post-surgical wards. This experience ignited her passion as she witnessed firsthand the significant impact pelvic health conditions have on patients’ quality of life.
Lixia understands that pelvic health physiotherapy involves addressing sensitive and intimate concerns. She is committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for her patients, ensuring they feel heard and supported. With a person-centred treatment approach, she works closely with her patients to achieve their individual goals. Lixia firmly believes in the power of education, empowering her patients with knowledge about their conditions and management plans. Her exceptional care has been recognised with the SGH Allied Health Division Service Excellence Award.
Lixia is skilled in addressing a diverse array of pelvic health issues, providing comprehensive care for conditions such as chronic pelvic pain, urinary leakage and urgency, pelvic organ prolapse, erectile dysfunction following prostate removal surgery and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation.
Outside of her professional life, Lixia has a love for basketball, a sport she played competitively during her school days. She also enjoys walking along beaches and cycling, finding joy in these activities to relax and recharge.
