Jill is an Irish physiotherapist who studied in Trinity College Dublin. During her training, she gained experience in many areas of physiotherapy in Irish hospitals, a musculoskeletal and orthopaedic practice in Chicago, as well as with a professional rugby team in Ireland.
Upon graduation, Jill worked as an Early Stage Researcher on an EU funded Marie Curie project. The project investigated children’s use of furniture in schools. Jill was based in Wiesbaden, Germany for this project and her role was to explore sedentary behaviour and ergonomics. After the project was completed, Jill returned to Dublin and completed a Masters by Research. Her work looked at sedentary behaviours of the office environment. She was based in a private practice in Dublin before moving to Singapore.
An avid yogini, Jill is qualified to teach both Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. She is also trained as a STOTT mat and reformer pilates instructor. Her interest in yoga and philosophy lead her to train in BodyTalk. BodyTalk is a healthcare system that addresses the person as a whole – on physical, mental, emotional and environmental levels. It seeks the underlying causes of illness and injury in the body and taps into the body’s own innate wisdom, so optimal healing can be achieved. Jill likes to integrate her expertise in BodyTalk, yoga and pilates into her physiotherapy practice to approach health in a unique, multidimensional way.
When not on her yoga mat or in the pilates studio, Jill can be found playing hockey, golf, tennis and horse-riding in her free time.
