Yanni graduated from the Singapore Institute of Technology – Trinity College of Dublin with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy. She is a former professional Wushu athlete who represented Singapore in World Championships from the age of 16, and won medals in both the Southeast Asian Games and Asian Games at 17 and 18 respectively. As an athlete with first-hand experience on the benefits of regular treatment, it naturally led her on the path of being a Physiotherapist. Having completed a comprehensive hospital experience in post-surgical, neurological, and outpatient musculoskeletal settings* including sports physiotherapy at the Singapore Sports Medical Centre, Yanni moved into the private setting to pursue her passion in providing patient-centered care.In addition to manual therapy and rehabilitative exercise, Yanni keeps herself up to date with Evidence-based physiotherapy practice (EBPP) to provide optimal outcomes for her patients. She is passionate about going through the road to recovery with patients, not only to pain-free stages, but at optimal performance.Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, Yanni was a student-athlete and freelance Wushu coach for 8 years. She has experience coaching competitive athletes in Wushu academies, and in school co-curricular activities (CCAs) in the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. She specializes in teaching young children and coaching elite competitive athletes.Apart from going to the gym regularly, Yanni enjoys a broad spectrum of sports including badminton, golf, swimming, cycling, football, rollerblading, basketball, wakeboarding – basically any physical activity, she will be up for it.
Yan Ni assessed me comprehensively and gave me a detailed explanation of my back pain. This allowed me to have a deeper appreciation of the treatment provided to me. Would highly recommend approaching her for injury recovery and management.
